WE ARE

Our Pillars

Our pillars help to create an environment that promotes growth in a variety of different areas. Through our pillars, our brothers become well-rounded individuals ready to succeed in the workplace.

Professionalism

The professional nature of our fraternity guides everything we do. From networking to interviewing, we prepare our members to go out into the workforce and excel.

Service

Service about self. From our annual 5K race benefitting students with terminal illnesses to our work with seniors in Oxford, we strive to use our gifts and talents to help others in our community.

Fundraising

Fundraising is an important part of our brotherhood and allows us to put together awesome professional events for our chapter and the Miami University community.

Social

We prepare our members for various social settings they’ll experience while in the workforce. From etiquette dinners to holiday parties, our members learn how to interact socially in a business environment.

A Letter from the President

Will Rice

President

Welcome to the website for the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at Miami University!

Thanks for stopping by and showing interest in Deltasig. As a freshman at Miami, I stumbled upon this website and it changed my college experience forever. Since joining, this organization has been a support system for me away from home. Leaving home can be intimidating, particularly when you don’t know too many people at school. I made lifelong friends by joining Deltasig, and I am actually living with them for the next two years until graduation!

In addition to a support group and making great friends, I have polished my professional skills because of Deltasig. I was exposed to mentors, resume building workshops, mock interviewing, networking with past members, and getting exclusive access to companies the night before Career Fair and Spring ICE.  I credit a large part of my professional opportunities and internships to skills learned in Deltasig.

Finally, I was able to discover more about myself and my passions. Our members are given opportunities to help contribute to our four pillars: Professional, Fundraising, Service, and Social. Through workshops our own members and outside guests host, I was able to come to the conclusion that I want to one day work in Sports Marketing.

Please explore our website and resources. If you have any questions about Delta Sigma Pi or my personal experiences, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email at ricewp@miamioh.edu.

Sincerely,

William Rice
